Varsity Women’s Tennis Coach

Location: Jones Senior High School

Report to: Principal and Athletic Director

Term of Employment: Pre and post season skill development and conditioning; regular season coaching. (July – October)

Salary: JCPS Coaching Supplement Pay Scale

Qualifications/ Duties:

Must possess administrative and organizational skills in addition to a thorough knowledge of Jones County Public Schools athletic policy and procedure as well as the North Carolina Administrative Code and Statutes
Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community
As applicable, must meet requirements established by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the Jones County Board of Education, and school administration
Previous successful coaching experience in tennis

Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during all team activities
A passion for working with student-athletes and proper training in tennis fundamentals
Assistance with maintenance and inventory of team uniforms and equipment
Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes
Assistance in the promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
