Varsity Women’s Tennis Coach

Location:   Jones Senior High School

Report to:  Principal and Athletic Director

Term of Employment: Pre and post season skill development and conditioning; regular season coaching. (July – October)

Salary: JCPS Coaching Supplement Pay Scale

Qualifications/ Duties:

• Must possess administrative and organizational skills in addition to a thorough knowledge of Jones County Public Schools athletic policy and procedure as well as the North Carolina Administrative Code and Statutes
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community
• As applicable, must meet requirements established by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the Jones County Board of Education, and school administration
• Previous successful coaching experience in tennis

• Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during all team activities
• A passion for working with student-athletes and proper training in tennis fundamentals
• Assistance with maintenance and inventory of team uniforms and equipment
• Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes
• Assistance in the promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
